Teck-Tjuan Yap is a partner at Freeman & Co. and has been with the firm since in 1996. He has managed an array of Investment Banking, Equity Sales and Trading and Electronic Trading projects. Engagements have included strategic planning and restructuring, compensation structuring, resource planning, organizational alignment and system development. He has also helped Freeman & Co. develop a proprietary algorithm for benchmarking the competitive position of firms in Capital Markets, which has become the industry standard used by major investment banks.
While at Freeman & Co., Mr. Yap has advised clients ranging from large-sized Asian, European and U.S. investment banks, to boutiques and region-focused mid-sized firms. His engagements have brought Mr. Yap across North America, Asia as well as Europe.
In 2005 Mr. Yap spearheaded Freeman & Co.'s partnership with Thomson Reuters, and has led several conferences organized by Thomson Reuters in Beijing, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Mr. Yap graduated with Honors from Columbia Business School with an MBA. Earlier, he worked for Citibank's Global Finance re-engineering team. He was a financial analyst for the Hewlett Packard Corporation, where he performed project valuations and advised senior management on internal control and transfer pricing issues. Mr. Yap attended National University of Singapore, where he graduated with Honors in Bachelor of Accountancy.
